www.freerice.com

The concept of the website is one big vocabulary test. With every word that you get right the organization will donate 20 grains of rice to starving families around the world.

1,000 grains of rice a day for the rest of tour. That’s my goal.

Whoa! I viewed the "Watch Free Rice Being Distributed" video at the bottom right corner of this website today. I had no idea how successful this site has been. They've feed over 700,000 in just three months.

"When we are loud we are one. When we are one we are more."

Keep your chin up my friend.

Another great website is TheHungerSite.com you go on the site and click. Every time you click, you donate 1.1 cups of food to the hungry. There is also a good deal of information on hunger around the country and world.

Tricia, Wow, I love the TheHungerSite.com site. I didn't notice the tabs at the top at first, the ones for Breast Cancer, Child Health, Literacy, Rainforest and Animal Rescue. I got distracted by the side tabs with such good information. Oh they each have side tabs. Nice. Thanks for posting.

How timely -- The March 17th issue of People magazine carries an article about creator of Free Rice.com and his vision. It's amazing what one person can do. The site is a wonderful way to give to the poor and build a fantastic vocabulary -- all for free! I donated 3,400 grains of rice in honor of Shane today and will encourage my friends to do the same! Love, -- Mama Haase --
