Throughout our world there are many signs of advancing life; technological advancements allow us to understand just how fragile and unique it is. However, despite success, prosperity, and economic growth there are still many signs of struggle and death. More than 850 million people worldwide are persistently hungry and about 1.2 billion live on less than $1 a day. Hunger and poverty are intertwined, mutually reinforcing conditions that need to be addressed.
So how are we addressing these issues? Organizations like the ONE campaign and Bread For The World are asking you to talk to your congressmen and women about these issues in hopes to increase aid and debt cancellation. There are banks that solely exist in order to provide micro loans to persons struggling in poverty.
In an effort to raise money and awareness on world hunger and poverty, my plan is to live on one dollar ($1.00) a day while traveling around the country. Throughout the process I'll be keeping track of my actual cost of living and my potential cost of living. At the end of the project the difference between the two figures, plus the money I've made in tips will be donated to a charity that's devoted to ending world poverty. I'll be writing about the entire process here to inform you of the difficulties I experience throughout the journey which will highlight the severity of these issues.
I hope to bring about revolution, liberation, and incitement in humanity.
To refocus on those in need.
This is my story. This is our story.

I am stoked for this to go down.
Your vision for this project is honoring of those who struggle to meet their basic human needs. I imagine much will be learned from this experience...for you and us (the readers)
Perhaps people could send you dollars. That would be fun. Just tell me where to mail it.
You're amazing; we love you! --- Mom & Dad
